The Taurus Twin is a flexible, multi-technique inspection system that utilizes dual cooperating robots to scan a wide range of products with complex geometries. Scanning methods include water jet coupled through transmission using both robots in cooperation, local immersion pulse echo using both robots independently, and local immersion phased array using both robots independently. Inspection times are optimized by means of high robot speed, simultaneous use in the case of local immersion pulse echo and local immersion phased array, and the use of phased array technology.
The systems are capable of simultaneous TTU and pulse echo inspection over parts. In dual robot mode, simultaneous pulse echo inspections can be performed on two parts to increase throughput. A unified environment for the complete inspection process includes: teaching/probing, scan path generation, post-processing, 3D simulation, complete system control, acquisition, evaluation and reporting.
These systems utilize the proven TECNATOM proprietary technology which has been supplied to many customers worldwide.
